Expect God’s Protection

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.”

We need God’s protection. So, we should expect His protection and thank Him for it. But we must remember that we receive from God by faith.  If we do not believe God will protect us, we are, in effect, hindering God’s protection. So, we need to feed our faith on the promises of the Bible concerning God’s protection for His people. There are many, but here are some: Psalm 46: 1 “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”  Psalm 138:7 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” Psalm 140:4 “Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble.”  2 Samuel 22:3-4 “The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.” Also Psalm 23:1-6; Psalm 121:1-8; Psalm 91:1-16. Then we also need to express our faith in thanks to God every day for His protection. Psalm 91 can help us do this. I recommend you make Psalm 91 personal and speak it often.
