Our Sermons
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever.
Psalm 111:10
Genesis 1:26 KJV “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
God did not create mankind to be puppets, robots, or slaves. God created mankind as blessed species to have dominion over all of God’s creations (Psalm 8:4-6). Humans have been given dominion over everything that moves on earth. That would include the devil and his forces trying to operate here on earth. So we should not allow the devil to operate here! Even though mankind fell, through the sin of Adam, God has never changed His purpose for mankind, nor His declaration. Jesus came to redeem mankind from our fallen state, and restore us back to the position of dominion God originally created us to walk in (Romans 5:17). Now those who are in Christ are joint-heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). While we await the second coming of Christ, let us maintain our dominion over every work of darkness, as we abide in the light!
Revelation 1:18 “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ today, we are rejoicing about the rescue from sin and death, and the restoration of the relationship between God and man. But I want to you to look beyond the miraculous event and focus on two main issues. One is that Jesus Christ was raised from death and He lives forever. That is a settled matter. Second is the question you have to settle for yourself: does Christ live in you? Is Christ’s light shining through you and visible around you so much that darkness cannot stand your presence? Is Christ’s life being lived through you so that men can see and experience His good works through you? Can He manifest His power through you in tangible ways? Is Christ’s love being expressed through you so you can love the unlovable; that you can look into people and have compassion on them instead of looking down on people and despising them. Jesus Christ is alive. But can you show with proof that He is alive in you? That is the food for thought from today’s word of encouragement!
Proverbs 17:22 TLB “A cheerful heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit makes one sick.”
These words, along with many others found within the pages of God’s Word, the Bible, inform us of the significance of a merry heart. Although there are times of sadness, sickness, and sorrow, God does not intend for us to live a life of gloom and doom. This does not imply that we minimize life’s sorrows, but that a Christian, through the strength of God, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit, has the ability to rise above life’s discouragements. You probably you know of someone who battles sickness and discouraging issues every day yet has a cheerful disposition. On the other hand, you know others who, although have many things over which to be happy, never seem to have a cheerful day. It is all about perspective. If we let God guide our hearts, we can be happy even in overwhelming disappointments. God can give you a merry heart in spite of yourself. A merry heart is a good prevention for illness. Medicines sometimes treat only the symptoms while a merry heart may prevent the illness from ever occurring. Be merry. God loves you and He is still on His throne, watching over you!

PROVERBS 16:2 NLT “People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.”
Motives are important to God. God is interested in WHY we do things, not just in WHAT we do. Why do you do what you do? Is it to help others? Is it to please God? Or do you live focused totally on yourself? These questions are important to ask ourselves. As 1 Corinthians 11:31 says, “if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.” Your motive is also important in receiving answers to your prayers (James 4:3). Concerning other people, you must use caution when trying to judge other people. You do not know their motives. Proverbs 21:2 TLB “We can justify our every deed, but God looks at our motives.” We often justify ourselves, but judge others harshly. We may judge ourselves based on our good intentions, but we are only capable of judging others by their actions, since we do know their motives. So, we must be very cautious about judging others in a condemning way. One main reason we are not qualified to judge others is because we do not know their thoughts, intentions, and motives. Only God does.
Hebrews 12:2 TLB “Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor.”
We are living in a world system characterized by uncertainty. Things are getting worse by the day and it is not going to get better. The system is failing. What should we do as Christians in the situation? The answer is to fix our attention on Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This means casting all our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7); trusting Him completely (Provers 3:5-7); fixing our attention on His finished work regardless of contradicting physical evidence, but with endurance and perseverance. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus Christ so that He becomes the focus of our existence, and we can then put everything else into God’s perspective. This requires that we walk in the truth, by affirming, proclaiming, and agreeing with the Word of God in every situation. Every promise of God in the Bible is fulfilled and guaranteed in Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. Look unto Him for healing, protection, provision, direction, leading; look unto Him as your deliverer from all demonic oppositions, and for every blessing you are seeking in life! He is the answer to all your questions.
