Reclaiming Your Dignity

Colossians 2:10 NLT “So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

You are worth more than you probably know. Do you know God sees you as valuable and precious in His sight? Sometimes the experiences we had, especially abusive ones, lead us to feel like something was taken from us; like we have lost our sense of value, control, and dignity. We can come to think we are less than we really are, and we feel worthless, powerless, or hopeless. But no matter what has been said to you or done to you, abuse never has the last word, God does. God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are God’s masterpiece, not trash, designed for good works (Ephesians 2:10). You are handpicked to be God’s special possession (1 Peter 2:9). You are complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10). In Christ you have all the resources necessary to live abundant life (John10:10). There is nothing you lack when you are in Christ. You are complete in Him. In Him you live, in Him you move, in Him you have your being (Acts 17:28). Believe who you are in Christ. Do not let Satan put you down or steal your joy. The Lord can help you regain what was lost, redeem what was taken, and restore you to a place of peace and joy. He can help you reclaim your dignity!
