Pray Without Ceasing

1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV “Pray without ceasing.”

Be prayerful. Be faithful. Be disciplined. Keeping these Biblical commands is critical to walking in victory in time of affliction. Prayer is the answer to affliction (James 5:13). Time of affliction is the time to pray continuously and not the time to faint or give up (Luke 18:1). Prayers must be intentional, and the purpose of prayers must not be for lustful desires (James 4:3).  The premise of effective prayer is God’s promises (1 John 5:14-15). The platform for effective fervent prayers that bring results is faith that works with love (Galatians 5:6), and righteousness in relationship and fellowship, vertically and horizontally (Psalm 24:3-5; Mark 11:25). This prayer is to be “without ceasing,” implying consistency (Colossians 4:2) and perseverance (Ephesians 6:18; Luke 18:1). It is not possible to be always on our bended knees, but we may be in the spirit of prayer even during our daily duties. It is all about shifting our thought process and turning everyday moments into prayer; communing with God as we go through our day.
