Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

As our world walks through the complexities of COVID-19, we are all faced with unique challenges. But Christ followers are also presented with a unique invitation to become carriers of hope. As we face these uncertain times and quickly changing world, it is a great reminder to us all that the church can be the carriers of hope. The church is not the building. We are the church that Christ is building, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against us. Everyone will react to crisis and fear in different ways, but in trying and uncertain times like these, how should Christians respond? When the rest of the world is afraid and loses hope, how can Christians still bring the life and love of Jesus Christ to a sick and dying world? We still can be the church for our local community and the world by continuing to give, love, and serve one another. Even if we do not have a building to go to, we have an all-powerful and all-loving God, and we can share His love to people. We are the light of the world. We are the hope of the world!
