Always Be Thankful

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Bad things happen in life sometimes, and believers are not exempted from experiencing bad things. There are times we do not understand what is happening or why. But there are many things we can always be thankful for: God loves us. Jesus died for us. Our sins are forgiven. Jesus has promised to never leave us. God is our Father and He is faithful. We have an eternal home in Heaven. Whatever we choose to focus on determines our attitude. While we may face challenges in life, we do not have to let those challenges become our focus. We can choose to give thanks and praise God for His goodness and faithfulness. Thanksgiving and praise are powerful weapons of spiritual warfare. Imagine the pleasure it will bring our Father God when we stay in faith and focus on Him, instead of being distracted by the lies of the devil to steal our faith. If you are always thankful, the bad things that do happen to you will lose their ability to really harm you, because your focus is on God and He is more than able to make you victorious always. I want to encourage you today to choose to be thankful to God, no matter what happens!
