2 Timothy 1:6 “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”

Acknowledging the God-given gift  that is already in your life is the foundation for all abundance. The gift is in you, but you have the responsibility to stir it up. The gift is not something you learn. It is something God gave you. It is something you need to discover and then stir up. You have to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you. No one else can activate your gift for you. You have to do it yourself. You stir up your gift by developing, refining, enhancing, and using it. A gift is like a precious stone to the one who has it, and whenever he stirs it up, it turns into prosperity (Proverbs 17:8). If you use your gift, it will prosper you and bring you before great men (Proverbs 18:16). You are not to imitate the gifts of others and you are not to be jealous of other people’s gifts. You are to stir up your own gift. You should be so busy stirring up your gift that you don’t have time to be jealous of anyone else or to feel sorry for yourself. You can stir up your spiritual gift by sharing the gospel with others and staying true to sound biblical teaching!
